Future Projects
There are many goals to reach at the refuge, including building different areas for horses in the current herd as well as incoming horses in the future. We also strive to build spaces to share our knowledge and demonstrations with the general public.
A Master Plan…
It all begins with an idea. Our founders and board members have developed a Master Plan of what we envision for the future here at the refuge. Our hosts at Heritage Ranch of the Rockies have graciously donated their land to support our vision. It is our hope to best utilize it to give a home to our herd, provide safe training facilities, and to bring these animals closer to the general public through both tours and educational areas.

Whether it is something as small as repairing fence lines, building new pens, or assisting with larger structure projects, we are always looking for help! Help does not always have to be a financial donation, but can also be an in-kind donation or volunteering your time / expertise.
